Kunzheng Art · Torch of the Journey: Art Exhibition Commemorating the 90th Anniversary of the Victory of the Red Army’s Long March Grandly Opens

(U.S. Commerce News) In the refreshing golden autumn, brush and ink express heartfelt sentiments. On the afternoon of October 22, the exhibition Kunzheng Art · Torch of the Journey, commemorating the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army’s Long March, grandly opened at the Kunzheng Art Museum. The opening ceremony was hosted by Wang Aimei, Deputy Secretary-General of the “New United Association” of Xuanwu Lake Subdistrict.

Ninety years ago on this very day, the three main forces of the Red Army victoriously joined together. The 25,000-li Long March wrote a glorious chapter in history. We deliberately chose this day of extraordinary significance to look back on those turbulent years through the medium of calligraphy and painting, and to carry forward the immortal spirit of the Long March.

The exhibition is sponsored by the Party Working Committee of Xuanwu Lake Subdistrict, Xuanwu District, and co-organized by the Xuanwu Lake Subdistrict Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of New Social Strata. It is jointly undertaken by Nanjing Kunzheng Cultural and Artistic Exchange Co., Ltd. (Kunzheng Art Museum), the Sino-American Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute, and Nanjing Kunzheng Engineering Project Management Co., Ltd.

The venue was filled with distinguished guests. Leaders from the United Front Work Department of the Xuanwu District Committee and Xuanwu Lake Subdistrict, representatives of the subdistrict chamber of commerce, leaders of the Sino-American Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute and numerous renowned calligraphers and painters, national first-class artists, members of the China Artists Association, China Calligraphers Association and other associations at various levels, university experts, representatives of enterprises and institutions, community members, and specially invited guests from all walks of life gathered at Kunzheng Art Museum to attend this red-culture event.

The exhibition specially invited 13 renowned calligraphers and painters to create works for the occasion, bringing together more than 40 outstanding pieces. Landscape paintings depict the magnificent rivers and mountains of the motherland; figure paintings portray the myriad aspects of human life and convey visions of peace; flower-and-bird works feature the graceful peony, the upright red bamboo, and the fragrant wisteria. Calligraphic works render classic red poems such as Seven-Character Regulated Verse: The Long March and The People’s Liberation Army Occupies Nanjing. The artists infused their sincere feelings into brush and ink, allowing the red spirit to blend and coexist with traditional Chinese calligraphy and painting. The works combine refined artistic beauty with profound contemporary power.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Zuo Wenbo, President of the Federation of New Social Strata of Xuanwu Lake Subdistrict and Chairman of Nanjing Kunzheng Engineering Project Management Co., Ltd., delivered a speech. Kunzheng Company has been deeply engaged in industry for 23 years, remaining true to its original aspiration and fulfilling social responsibility while actively promoting the dissemination of red culture. This exhibition is a vivid continuation of the Long March spirit in the new era. In the future, Kunzheng will continue to nourish the heart through art and educate people through culture, passing on the power of the red spirit.

Subsequently, Dean Lu Nanying of the Sino-American Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute delivered a speech. The institute brings together many renowned calligraphers and painters and regularly organizes high-quality art exhibitions and exchange activities. Dean Lu expressed sincere gratitude to all participating artists and called on everyone to experience, through brush and ink, the revolutionary predecessors’ spirit of fearing no hardship and remaining steadfast in their resolve during the Long March, and to draw strength for progress from it.

After the speeches, the guests moved to the exhibition halls to view the works. They lingered before each piece, carefully appreciating the meaning of the brushwork, exchanging creative insights, and revisiting the history of the Long March stroke by stroke, feeling the majestic power of the enduring red torch.

The journey is long, yet the torch is passed on forever. The Kunzheng Art · Torch of the Journey exhibition commemorating the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army’s Long March is now officially open. Friends from all walks of life are welcome to visit Kunzheng Art Museum, appreciate the fine works of brush and ink, and comprehend the original aspiration of the Long March!
