Guangdong cultural delegation winds up Asia tour

The Guangdong delegation concluded its Charming China-2019 Guangdong Culture Week in Japan over the weekend.

Headed by Fu Hua, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and director general of the Publicity Department of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, the delegation visited Singapore, South Korea, and Japan from June 6 to 15. During those days, the Charming China-2019 Guangdong Culture Week was held highlighting the development of Guangdong and its authentic Lingnan culture through a variety of cultural exchanges.

During their last stop in Japan from June 12 to 15, Fu Hua and his delegation met with Ido Toshizo, governor of Hyogo, and exchanged ideas on cooperation in the fields of trade, education, and environmental protection.

The delegation also attended the China-Japan folk music concert and attended the cooperative agreement signing between Guangdong Radio and Television Station and Kansai TV, as well as that between Guangdong Provincial Publishing Group and Kadokawa Corp.

When visiting South Korea from June 9 to 11, Fu and his delegation met with Lee Hwa-soon, vice governor of Gyeonggi-do province, and shared ideas on the ways to push forward tourism, cultural tours, and education exchanges between Guangdong and Gyeonggi-do. They also attended various activities, including a China-South Korea storytelling friendly exchange event and a China-South Korea music concert.

During his visit to Singapore from June 6 to 8, Fu delivered a speech at the Future China Global Forum and attended the opening ceremony of the China (Guangdong)-Singapore Media & Culture Exchange Week.

Fu also attended the MOU signing between Nanfang Media Group and Chinese Media Group of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), the biggest Chinese media group in Singapore.
