Titled “Symphony Night”, this concert is a specially crafted performance by legendary musician Lo Ta-You, in collaboration with the Chun Long Symphony Orchestra, a 16-member ensemble of acoustic instrumentalists from both Eastern and Western musical traditions. The orchestra seamlessly merges classical symphonic structures with popular music elements, reimagining Lo Ta-You’s decades-spanning body of work through symphonic arrangements. The program unfolds across seven thematic movements, encompassing beloved classics, film soundtracks, folk-inspired works, and more—guiding audiences on a deeply moving and immersive musical journey.
Since releasing his debut album in 1982, Lo Ta-You has been widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Mandarin popular music. His iconic works include Zhi Hu Zhe Ye, Comrade Lover, Pearl of the Orient, and Love Song 1990, all of which hold a lasting and irreplaceable place in the history of Chinese popular music.
